I created a rubric for making a poster in my classroom. I created the rubric using the rubistar website. Here is my rubric. I thought that this was an easy website to use to create a rubric for all sorts of different assignments. I could use this in my classroom for a number of different things. I learned how to create a rubric for how to grade a student's work in this assignment. The standards covered in this assignment are:
-2a Design or adapt relevant learning experiences that incorporate digital tools and resources to promote student learning and creativity
-2c Customize and personalize learning activities to address students' diverse learning styles, working strategies, and abilities using digital tools and resources
-3a Demonstrate fluency in technology systems and the transfer of current knowledge to new technologies and situations
-3c Communicate relevant information and ideas effectively to students, parents, and peers using a variety of digital-age media and formats
-3d Model and facilitate effective use of current and emerging digital tools to locate, analyze, evaluate, and use information resources to support research and learning
-4c Promote and model digital etiquette and responsible social interactions related to the use of technology and information

Organizing Tools
I read the article "The Classroom Webpage, a must have for 2008" and found it very interesting. The article talks about the advantages of teachers creating webpages about their classroom. The author lists the advantages that a teacher will get by having their own page. One is efficiency because the teacher will have more time to teach because the students can access links from the teacher webpage. Another advantage is resources because the students have many more opportunities to access links using the teacher webpage. Relevance is another advantage because the students will see using the internet as being a regular part of school. Connection is another advantage of having your own webpage because the students will feel more connected to their teacher knowing they have internet skills. Another advantage is access because not only the students gain more access from the webpage, but also the students' parents. The last advantage the author talked about is the experience that students will be getting from using the classroom webpage. I agree that a teacher having their own webpage would benefit from doing so.
