Here is my prezi. I created this using the prezi website which is here. I really liked using this because it was new to me and I could really see myself using this in my classroom in the future. It was a little tricky at first, but after watching the videos on how to use it I figured it out. I like how different it is from any other program that helps you create a presentation. It is much different from powerpoint and I like it better because it is different. I think this could be used in a number of ways in the classroom for a number of different things. The uses of this new tool are endless if you have the knowledge to use it. The standards covered in this assignment are:
-1a Promote, support, and model creative and innovative thinking and inventiveness
-1c Promote student reflection using collaborative tools to reveal and clarify students' conceptual understanding and thinking, planning and creative process
- 2a Design or adapt relevant learning experiences that incorporate digital tools and resources to promote student learning and creativity
-2c Customize and personalize learning activities to address students' diverse learning styles, working strategies, and abilities using digital tools and resources
-3a Demonstrate fluency in technology systems and the transfer of current knowledge to new technologies and situations
-3c Communicate relevant information and ideas effectively to students, parents, and peers using a variety of digital-age media and formats

You Tube Video

In this assignment we were to find a you tube video and save it to our own computer so that we could find and use it at any time. I picked a funny video of a guy dancing like a robot. Here it is. I saved the video as a wmv. file and am now able to bring it up on my computer whenever I want to. I feel this is a good thing to learn because if you find a video that is really helpful then you can view it at any time without having to worry about the creator taking it off the internet. A teacher can use a video in the classroom to show the students how to do things or a number of other things. This assignment covered the following standards:
-Promote, support, and model creative and innovative thinking and inventiveness
-Participate in local and global learning communities to explore creative applications of technology to improve student learning
-Promote and model digital etiquette and responsible social interactions related to the use of technology and information
-Model and facilitate effective use of current and emerging tools to locate, analyze, evaluate, and use of information resources to support research and learning
-Demonstrate fluency in technology systems and the transfer of current knowledge to new technologies and situations
-Design or adapt relevant learning experiences that incorporate digital tools and resources to promote student learning and activity
